Kaitlin Smith

Kaitlin Smith, Allied ASID, a native of Rhode Island, opened Highpoint Home (Watch Hill) in 2012.  She earned a Bachelor of Science from Boston College, majoring in Marketing, with a Minor in French.  Although she always had a passion for interiors, her career started in New York City working in the fashion industry.

After working in Manhattan for 5 years, she decided to continue her education and study Interior Design. Kaitlin has earned a Commercial Certificate of Interior Design from Fairfield University and is an Allied member of ASID. She plans to sit for the NCIDQ exam, becoming a member of the American Society of Interior Designers.

Highpoint Home offers a variety of home décor items and gifts, with many one-of-a-kind pieces. Kaitlin and her mother Jane, travel often, searching for vintage furniture and accessories that can be reimagined with new fabric, a splash of paint, or simply a coat of poly. Whether it be a lucite chair from Palm Beach or a Moroccan pouf from Marrakesh, customers will certainly find something special to take home!  The store mimic the blues of the water and neutrals of the sand, giving way to a tranquil shopping environment. Interior Design services are available by appointment, the Watch Hill store is open seasonally (Memorial Day – Columbus Day).
